Convenient small fan for your everyday use

Small Fan

When you are seeking a small fan the choices are quite vast indeed. There are small electric fans, small desk fan, as well as small battery operated fans, some go under the name of mini fans, tower fans and some are even clip on fans.

Some fans are called tower fans because they are basically cylindrical. People often feel that these are more than just functional, but that they also have a certain amount of style. Of course the other reason to wish for a tower fan is that they nestle rather discretely in a room with small space, and others want them to sit in a corner, thus the shape offers that easily.

The way that they function is that they feature a vertically positioned spinning drum. This drum is what provides advanced airflow as well as circulation because it is capable of oscillating 70 degrees. This therefore brings the user a wide air distribution. Many of these tower fans also provide for 3 different speeds instead of the typical 2 speeds, and perhaps timers, night lights, and very quiet operation.

Some of these even include remote control, so that you need not have to rise to change the fan's speeds and such. Some of the more expensive tower fans will even have a blue LCD screen showing you what the settings are and some even contain an ionizer. An ionizer scientifically works to purify the air, by creating microscopic ions whose job it is to remove the smallest particles from the air blowing through the fan. Those who have allergies, respiratory ailments, impaired immunity problems, or asthma may enjoy an ionizer. Most of these particular small cylindrical fans come as either 32" tall or 36" tall, though there are some that are only 12.25" tall. Many of them are made of plastic, and some are made from heavy steel with plastic, but yet most people feel they are quite lightweight, as most weigh from 2.70 pounds to 4.5 pounds.

There are, of course small fans that can sit on a bureau, or other piece of furniture that are configured just the same as the old fans were made. This usually consists of a heavier base to keep the fan from tipping, some sort of protective mesh, often made of plastic today, to keep fingers away from the rotating blades.

Smaller fans are now available that are electrically powered, yet can move the air up to 20 feet away even though it only weighs 1 1/7 pounds. This tiny fan will even oscillate.

There are even small fans that can be mounted in a doorway in order to vent the air from one room to another. Or you may seek a small fan in order to mount it on the wall to circulate and cool the air. These come with pull cords or even remote control too. Then there are the very tiny 6" clip on fans that mount wherever you need them via a strong rubber covered clamp to protect your furniture. Some are plug in, and some run on batteries. A few are even multi speed too!
